pat_8-23_f043_frame.webpWelcome — I’m Pat Hammond.

I’m an author, creator, and planner-obsessed solopreneur. Over the years, I’ve navigated the push and pull of creative ambition, big ideas, and feeling overwhelmed by the details. I built the P.A.T. System because I wanted a way to stop checking off items on a to-do list and make real progress. And once I discovered the secret sauce, I realized it help others like me do the same.

My Journey

I’ve been a professional writer and creator for over twenty years. During that time, I’ve owned five businesses, and have enough experience and business knowledge to ask the right questions and separate the useful answers from the BS.

From my earliest days writing fiction (and sketching out entire worlds) to managing a creative business, I’ve always struggled to find the balance between freedom and focus. On one hand: boundless inspiration, ever-shifting goals, and the thrill of a brand-new idea. On the other: overwhelm, procrastination, and the fear that nothing will ever get finished.

I launched The P.A.T. Blueprint, my Substack blog, because I believed in the power of planning without rigidity. That voice — honest, no-frills, creator-first — lives at the heart of the P.A.T. System.

What the P.A.T. System Is (and Isn’t)

Your plan is a blueprint for success. It doesn't matter if it's a business plan, marketing plan, or production plan; all it needs to do is provide clarity, accountability, and a way to track your progress and measure success. That's it.

The P.A.T. System is a framework for creative people who want to make a plan to get things done so they can sell their books, artwork, and creative services.

It’s built around three pillars:

  • Purpose: Define your goal and identify your 'why'.
  • Action: Plan your actions so you can avoid wasting time (& money!) on sidetracks.
  • Tracking: Measure your success — this is the difference between reaching your goal and simply checking things off a to-do list.

The best part is that there is no fluff. My system breaks down the core components so that you're left with everything you need to know to launch a new product, develop a marketing strategy, or plan an email campaign.

Even better, most of my planning tools fit on one page.

Why It Matters

In my own creative journey, I found that traditional planners and productivity systems often felt overwhelming and too restrictive. They demanded you fit into their mold, and I spent far more time managing the system than I did getting things done. That doesn't work for people like us — writers, artists, solo creators — our process is messy, cyclical, and we can't always meter our time on a set schedule.

That’s why the P.A.T. System emphasizes:

  •  Flexibility — tools that adapt to you, not the other way around
  •  Self-compassion — recognizing progress doesn’t always look linear
  •  Sustainable habits — routines that support long-term growth, not burnout
My Mission

My mission with the P.A.T. System is simple (but far-reaching):

To empower solopreneurs and creatives — especially writers, artists, and people building something from scratch — to move intentionally, create steadily, and build a business (or life) that feels aligned.

I believe that planning isn’t the enemy of creativity..

How It Works (Quick Overview)
  1.  Flash Clarity Sessions — 15-minute coaching to get unstuck, define your next steps, or sharpen your vision.
  2.  Planners & Tools — digital (or printable) resources built around Purpose, Action, and Tracking.
  3.  Ongoing Support — as the system evolves, I’ll be adding new tools, templates, and community-driven resources so that you can keep growing at your own pace.
